Terms and conditions
Last updated: September 2026 · Includes the warranty policy.
In short: we stand behind our product with our own warranty. We cover failures of the equipment and its components; we do not cover what happens to the equipment because of installation, electrical conditions or use beyond what the datasheet states.
Who we are
Carden Lighting S.A. de C.V., part of Grupo Carden, located at Torre 5 Valle Oriente, San Pedro Garza García, N.L., México. International manufacturer of LED luminaires for roadway, industry, hazardous locations, commercial, outdoor, solar and emergency lighting.
These terms apply to the use of this site and to any commercial transaction arising from it. By requesting a quote or placing an order, you accept them.
Site information is for reference
Datasheets, photographs, photometric files and comparisons published here are informational. What governs a transaction is the current datasheet for the model and the written quote we issue.
We are manufacturers and improve our products continuously, so specifications may change without notice. If your project requires a specific value, confirm it in the quote before purchasing.
Quotes, prices and orders
- Every quote states its validity, currency, payment terms and lead time. Past that validity, prices are reviewed.
- A quote is not an order. An order is firm once you confirm it in writing and the agreed payment terms are met.
- Lead times are estimates and are confirmed per order. For imported product they depend on shipping and customs clearance.
- We build to specification. For made-to-order product, once manufacturing has started the order cannot be cancelled or changed.
Warranty: what it covers
Carden Lighting stands behind its product with its own warranty. We do not hand you off to a third party.
The warranty covers detected failures of the product and its components attributable to a manufacturing or materials defect, under normal use and within the conditions stated in the model's datasheet.
Covered, among others:
- LED module failure or lumen output below the declared value within the warranty period.
- Driver, power supply or control electronics failure.
- Failure of sensors, photocell, battery or accessories supplied by us, each under its own warranty period.
- Defects in housing, optics, diffuser or seals that compromise declared performance.
- Early corrosion on product installed within the environment it was specified for.
Warranty: what it does not cover
The warranty covers the product, not the installation. Failures that do not originate in the equipment are excluded:
- Misuse, improper handling, operation outside the conditions stated in the datasheet, or use in an application other than the one specified.
- Incorrect installation: mounting outside code, height or spacing different from the design, missing fixing, improperly closed seals, or third-party accessories that alter the equipment.
- Electrical conditions: overvoltage, undervoltage, transients or surges beyond the declared range and protection, missing or deficient earthing, and failures of the building's electrical installation.
- Physical damage: impact, drops, vandalism, theft, or damage in transit and handling when not under our account.
- Acts of nature and force majeure: lightning, flood, earthquake, fire, hurricane.
- Environment more severe than declared: exposure to chemicals, salinity, dust or temperature beyond the model's IP, IK and thermal range.
- Modification, repair or opening of the equipment by unauthorized personnel, and replacement of components with parts other than ours.
- Normal lumen depreciation within the declared value, and consumables.
- Product without a legible model or serial identification.
Warranty period
The period is stated in each model's datasheet. Across most of the catalog it is 5 years on the luminaire; some lines are 3 years, and batteries in solar and emergency equipment carry their own, shorter period.
The period runs from the invoice date. Replacing a part under warranty does not restart the equipment's period.
How to claim
- Write to info@cardenltg.com with the model, the affected quantity, the invoice or order number, and photographs or video of the failure.
- Our technical team evaluates the case and may request the part for inspection or schedule a site visit.
- If the claim proceeds, the remedy is at our election: repair, replacement of the part or the unit, or a credit note for the value of the product.
- The product is shipped for inspection at the customer's expense and returned at ours when the failure is attributable to the equipment.
Limitation of liability
Our liability is limited to the value of the product supplied. The warranty does not include removal and reinstallation labor, handling, cranes, scaffolding, or costs arising from the equipment being out of service, unless agreed in writing in the project contract.
None of the above limits the rights granted to consumers by Mexican law.
Intellectual property
