CL RTM 1 is Carden Lighting's magnetic retrofit kit: LED light bars that attach magnetically inside the fluorescent fixture already in place, plus a driver that powers them. Pull the lamps and ballast, set the bars, wire the driver, the housing, the ceiling and the conduit all stay. Available in 2 ft and 4 ft, with 2, 3 or 4 bars depending on fixture width, field-selectable wattage (36/25/18 W or 60/50/36 W), color temperature selectable among 3000, 4000 and 5000 K, universal 120–277 V and 0-10 V dim-to-off. DLC 5.1 Standard listed, 5-year warranty. Carden manufactures: length, bar count and wattage group are set per project.

Corporate offices with installed fluorescent troffers: the product's natural use. It converts the linear and T-grid troffers already mounted to LED (the tubes and ballast are removed, the bars attach magnetically and the driver is connected) without removing the fixture, touching the ceiling or redoing the conduit. The conversion is done fixture by fixture, at night or in stages, with the floor in operation.Schools and universities: classrooms, labs, libraries and corridors with installed 2 and 4 ft troffers. It allows upgrading building by building with a phased budget and standardizing the color temperature per building, since the CCT is set on site with the selector.Clinics and general hospital areas: exam rooms, corridors, reception, records and administrative areas. Because the housing stays in place, each area takes minutes, with no construction or dust, and service keeps running.Retail, big-box and back rooms: sales floors, store stockrooms, docks and packing areas with existing linear troffers. It is the way to go when the housing is sound but its internal technology is not.Compared with CL RTT 9 (T8 tube): both upgrade without changing the troffer, but the tube keeps the lamp holders and the original tube layout, while this kit removes the lamp holders and ballast and redesigns the internal distribution with 2, 3 or 4 bars.Compared with the complete linear families (CL LM, CL PL, CL TRF, CL LR): those replace the entire fixture. CL RTM 1 is the alternative when the client wants to keep the troffer and the ceiling.
